Digital expressions by Priya Shilpa

The pic on the left is a typical "Patachitra" as seen in Orissa, only difference being that they use vegetable dyes on really expensive cloth. Everybody has done a geometric pattern like the one on the right in an art-class from a school in India... These two were me experimenting with a little color... I guess I have to stick to Black and White.. :D

The first three pics are also from imagination... The last one is also from a newspaper cutting that was about 2 by 4 cms...

I can never draw long slender fingers... mine are always plump :( Everybody wants to sketch the "Mona Lisa", well I tried my hand at it too... The pic on the left was completely imagined, while the one from the right was also from a newspaper cutting.

The pic on the left was inspired from a history text book, the one on the right was an inspiration from cartoons like aladdin... The pic on the left was a template that I wanted to use to stitch a wall hanging but never got to doing it. The one on the right, is from a newspaper cutting.

A lady drying her hair, after a nice bath .. The second one was inspired by Nokia ! These two pics below were from the cover of fiction books that I had read a looooooooong time ago ..

The Roman era.. inspires all.. An African woman A self made woman, who sculpts her own destiny... Isn't that who we want to be ? Nothing makes a day more special than a basket full of fresh flowers..
